What is Fencing?

Fencing is an exciting non-contact combat sport that is an excellent way to tone up, lose weight, improve your cardiovascular fitness and classes give you the opportunity to meet a bunch of really great people!

Fencing is an individual and team sport, in which the fencer develops skills that allow them to score with the accuracy of a marksman, the control and suppleness of a gymnast and the speed of an Olympic sprinter. A fencer must be able to analyse situations and make split second decisions, time after time.

Fencing improves cardiovascular fitness, hand-eye coordination, balance, concentration, flexibility, confidence and social life!

Our priority is to provide top quality coaching in a friendly environment, with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm from our coaches. We are dedicated to expanding 'grass roots fencing' and our squad of competitive Junior fencers, especially in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics.
